Holding Onto a Dream

Wow, I can’t believe it’s 2009 already! I’ve been working on making Texture Bookstore a reality since 2005. Took me all this time, but I held fast to my dream. 2009 here we come!

Spaced on July Traveling Egads

I will be out of town for over two weeks this month, I totally forgot. My ankle will still be in the brace till next week also. So opening Texture Bookstore on August 15th. Travel will be to Cincinnati for family stuff and vacation in Maine. This also gives me time to finish renovation stuff for the store with less stress.

Memorial Day Bookstore Work

365 Day 2: Bookstore Work May 26th 2008

Today is Memorial Day in the USA and after we watched our local parade I spent some time sorting through some books for my store. I open next month so soon I will no longer have piles of books everywhere in my house!

Getting Over Myself to Make Texture a Reality

One of my goals this year in relation to Texture is working on my shyness. I’m trying to get over myself because the shyness hampers me from many goals including getting Texture open. This year when I meet new people I will try to be less self-conscious. I probably could have been opened my bookstore, but I twig out at having to talk to new people & blow off meetings, dumb stuff like that.

Rescheduled

No news to report about the storefront. Our look-see got rescheduled to Wednesday because the storefront owner had an emergency with his kid. Like I don’t have enough to do without shufflinf my schedule around to go look at this place. I hope it’s not a dump because I will be pissed! Just kidding. I am going to choose to believe that he really had an emergency (Why would he lie about something to do with his kid?) and choose to switch my schedule around (after all, isn’t that the beauty of being self-employed; the ability to have a flexible schedule?) and I’m going to choose to go look at this place with a positive attitude and open mind. There, I feel better already.
